Everyone,
I am excited to report how well my sweetie Allison is doing. She is starting to really recognize some signs and repeats them over and over. Thanks Denise for holding that class in your home and teaching us some of those signs. She doesn't do them precisely the way they should look like but I can tell what she is saying. She is signing Mom, "more", and "all done". It's amazing when her feeding pump beeps that is all done that she does the "all done" sign. This is so exciting for us. She is quite a character. She likes to pinch just to see our "Ow!! that hurts!" reaction. We constantly tell her not to do that, to be sweet and touch softly but she grins at us and we of course melt. I swear I tell her all the time that they will be calling us from the Rise School to come and pick her up because she is too mean to the other kids. Ha,ha,ha... We are excited that she will starting school in August. I think the social interactions will help her blossom. Hope to see everyone at the Worlds Down Syndrome Awareness Day at the aquarium. :)
