My Allison
July 29, 2008 by alogreen70
Hi everyone,
Just a quick update on my sweetheart. The DCH calendar is scheduled to be unveiled on September 24th. Can't wait!!!! Well, believe it or not, my angel is crawling, or should I say her version of crawling. She basically squats like a frog and drags one leg bended and uses the other to move forward. She refuses to get up on her knees (guess she don't want to get them dirty, hee, hee) but I am thrilled that she is even doing this. We basically keep her on the floor all the time and she is getting around. It's exciting to see. What's new with everyone else??? Heard that Miss little Natalie is walking now??? Great job Natalie!!! I just love her.

Those pictures of Kaden are awesome!!! Fun,fun, fun. Wow, looks like he had a blast at Schiletterbahn. I need to post more of Allison's pictures of her enjoying the water too. :)

Hey everyone,
I myself have been disappointed in the lack of response that the forum gets. We need to remember that this is for our kids and this is a way we can support each other because time does not allow us to get together as often as I know I would like. Please everyone, respond every now and then, even to just drop a simple line. I enjoy hearing little things from everyone. Hope to hear from you'll soon.
This is really bragging....

Hi everyone,
Update on my Allison. She had a swallow test done yesterday and she is almost there. Her function is improving everyday. Soon, really soon, I will be enjoying her eating by mouth like every other little baby out there. Aside from that, she's doing absolutely wonderful. She is truly amazing and such a wonderfully behaved little girl. She adapts to changes with no fuss and we've just recently took her to Schiletterbahn and took some great pictures of her in the water. I need to post them soon. We are going to SeaWorld tomorrow for the 4th of July and we'll see how she does. Last year when we took her she was only 2 months old and she didn't give us a hint of trouble. I'll keep my fingers crossed she'll be the same tomorrow.
Re: Is CBDSA making a difference? Our statistics make me think so.

Gregg,
This is great. What I would really like to see is more interaction between us all and perhaps get more parents involved. I know personally speaking that the members of this group have been a tremendous support system for me and I'm sure for other as well. Even if it's something so small, it is truly grand in my eyes to know how each and every one of our angels is doing. So please everyone out there, please drop and line now and then.

Gregg,
This is good to know since Allison will be seeing an eye doctor at the end of the month and who knows, she may need glasses? Thanks for all your research.
We all have something, don't we?
June 12, 2008 by alogreen70
Hi everyone,
I know everyone is busy, I know I am, but it would be nice to hear from everyone every now and then. I would personally like to see everyone drop a line or two just to say "hey" and let us know how your child is doing. Allison is doing absolutely great. It would be nice to see how we can all get together again since I enjoy seeing every single one of the kids. How is everyone's sweethearts???

Prayer for Gregg's family
April 29, 2008 by alogreen70
Forgive me, I don't remember if Alma said that Gregg's father or mother had fallen very ill. Gregg has been wonderful in remembering and thinking of everyone and I just wanted everyone to know he is going through something difficult with his family right now. Gregg, I hope your mother or father is better now and know that I have you in my thoughts and prayers. Please be careful out there and come home safely. God Bless your family.

Way to go Natalie!!! Lisa, before you know it, that little girl will be talking your ear off. Any little word, or half of a word, is a real accomplishment for our little ones and it is to be praised. I'm proud of her and so proud of you Lisa.

Re: Potty Training Any Hints or suggestions

Darlene,
As i have a ways to go for that with my Allison, I can only try and give advice that I followed when I potty trained my first daughter Laura and my son Eric. Laura was a breeze but my son Eric, who is autistic, I thought would be hard and to my surprise, it wasn't. I waited too long to start the process just asuming that because of his disability, he would be a hard learner. So Eric didn't really get started until he was about 3 and he took to it like nothing. I was amazed. So, the advice I'm trying to give is that maybe it really won't be that hard afterall. Maybe Holly will surprise you too. Patience of course is the #1 virtue you can offer to her. I know it may get frustrating but frustration will only discourage her. Make it fun for her by reading childrens books on potty training and letting her pick out her own "big girl" panties. She will be so proud of them that they usually don't want to get them dirty. Good luck and let us know how it's coming along.

Lisa,
Thanks be to God is right. I think we all need to remember that God indeed created our wonderful angels and he will look out for them. I am glad Natalie is doing so well and she will continue to do well with God's blessings. You and your husband are wonderful parents who give Natalie all the love and nuture she needs to prosper. Your a great example to us all.

Hello everyone,
I'm Adriana, and I am the proud mother of Allison. Allison is 10 months old now and a blessing to our family. I have 2 older children, Laura who is 18 and leaving to college (Boo hoo :( ) and Eric, who is 14 and is autistic. I try to attend the meetings CBDSA have so that I can get to know everyone and see all our beautiful angels.
Gregg, I think this is awesome. Good job!!! I think we all need to be able to get on once and awhile and talk to people who are understanding of the rollcoaster of emotions we feel from day to day. I will be at tonights meeting. Hope to see new faces and of course, see the familiar ones too.
