Re: Eyeglasses for Children with Down syndrome

Just a little hint about the glasses,, I have had a horrible time keeping Holly's glasses on her,, we found a rubber thingy for lack of a better word, that hooks on the stems of the glasses and goes around her head under her hair and for some reason she will leave them on now,, got it at the eye glass place in moore plaza and was pretty inexpensive and more important,,it works.

Re: Adnoids and Tonsils
March 29, 2008 by darlene
Not from my experience,,, A long time ago (it seems like it now anyways) when I worked in pediatrics we had a lot of kids who just had their tonsils taken out but not the adenoids... course we are talking about 15 years ago,, I will look for more information when I return to work on Monday on the website we have for patient information handouts and see what I can find. I think a lot of the more prominet research is that if one is causing problems they remove both while they are in doing the procedure,, but like I said I can research it better when I can access it from work... will let you know.
